Among many others, the bill included Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis Quintet, Duke Ellington Orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie Quintet, Dave Brubeck Quartet, Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, and of course, the John Coltrane Quartet.
The John Coltrane Quartet at the time featured John Coltrane on tenor and soprano saxophone, McCoy Tyner on piano, Jimmy Garrison on double bass, and Elvin Jones on drums.
